This is the current digital standard. When you purchase a license, you receive a Product Key and Serial Number. These are entered into the FactoryTalk Activation Manager to "rehost" the license to your computer’s hard drive or a hardware dongle.
You cannot typically buy RSLogix 5 directly from a retail store. You must contact an authorized Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley distributor.
