In some cases, your version might be "region-locked," meaning English doesn't appear in the official menu. To fix this, you may need to manually place the English .dat and .fat files into your game directory.

The easiest and safest way to get English files is to let the official game clients download them for you.

Under the tab, select English in the Language selection.

Select from the dropdown menu. Steam will immediately begin downloading a pack containing the English audio and text assets (usually around 1.5GB to 10GB depending on the game version). Ubisoft Connect (Uplay) Users: Select the game in your Ubisoft Connect library. Go to the Properties menu on the left sidebar.

Right-click in your Steam Library and select Properties . Navigate to the Language tab.
